Archie's Waeside

Our family loves the delightful decor/environment, helpful & friendly staff. The main reason folks go s to Archies is for the food of course. We love the consistently fresh salad and the steaks, salmon and other entrees are the very best on this continent as well as on all others.

We have dined here several times. The food is always good. We typically order the chateau briand and my husband and I share it with plenty to take for left overs. Our favorite little extra is the side plate of veggies and cheese.On a few occasions it seems as though the bartender gals are not as friendly as the waitresses. On our last visit one of the bartenders (which seemed like she had been employed longer) was really rude to the other younger bartender. However the younger one did not seem to let it bother her and continued to do her job well.

Best steakhouse I’ve been to in the Midwest! Maybe only comparable to Jockos of the California Central Coast. Got the peppered rib eye and it was cooked as requested, so good! Has the atmosphere of a local steakhouse, with the interesting addition of Christmas houses.
